Gucci Mane Career

Before his career as a rapper, Gucci was drug dealer, and was arrested for possession of cocaine in 2001. After being released from county jail, he began to take music more seriously, and looked to pursue a career from it.

Gucci released his first mix-tape by himself, called ‘La Flare’, and then decided that he wanted to create his own record label; which is how La Flare Entertainment was born.

In 2005, Gucci released his debut studio album, ‘Trap House’, which climbed its way onto the Billboard Top 20 R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and sparked his initial popularity in the industry.

Gucci continued to released more studio albums, and also went on to found his Delantic Clothing line, publish an Autobiography, and have a small acting career also.

Over the years, Gucci has worked with many other best selling artists, including Drake, Mariah Carey, Lil Wayne, and Rae Sremmurd. Gucci has released 12 studio albums, and a large number of mix-tapes during his career, which is an incredible feat.

Gucci Mane Personal Life

Gucci Mane married Keyshia Ka’oir on October 17, 2017. The wedding was paid for by BET which produced a 10 episode TV series based on it, called “The Mane Event” showing Ka’oir organizing the wedding, culminating in walking down the aisle on a carpet sprinkled with diamonds. Mane proposed to Ka’oir after performing at an Atlanta Hawks basketball game.

In his autobiography, he revealed that he has a son born in 2007 whom he had not known about until 2016.

The Mother of All Cakes

Nothing epitomized their expensive wedding more than their wedding cake, which was over 10-feet tall! The wedding cake was made up of four double-tiered layers with crystals hanging from every section. It looked like a white chandelier and perfectly complemented the “diamonds and crystals” theme of their wedding.

The cake was so big that the couple had to use a sword with a blinged-out handle just to cut it! No wonder the Gucci Mane wedding cake cost a massive $75,000, but all guests agreed that it was well worth it. His invitations sent to all the guests cost Mane a sizeable $50,000 in all!

It wasn’t just the wedding that was incredibly rich and awe-inspiring. Even the way Mane proposed to Ka’oir and the wedding ring he gave her made the news! Mane proposed to Ka’oir after performing at a basketball game for the Atlanta Hawks and gave her a ring that people just couldn’t stop talking about.

Ka’oir revealed on Instagram that the wedding ring was 25 carats and though she did not give it’s exact price, diamond experts pegged it to be worth between $3.0 to $5.0 million! Wow!

A Passion for Music

Today, Mane is known as one of the pioneers in the hip-hop sub-genre “trap music”, which has become increasingly popular among listeners.
